Austrian billionaire Martin Schlaff is suspected of transferring hundreds of thousands of dollars to a company owned by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, according to a Tuesday morning report by Haaretz. Citing a seven-year investigation by the police department's National Fraud Investigation Unit, the newspaper says Schlaff is suspected of contributing tens of thousands of dollars to the defense of former prime minister Ehud Olmert.
According to the investigation, Schlaff also deposited about $4.5 million in the accounts of Gilad and Omri Sharon, the sons of the former prime minister.
