Hundreds gathered for Slichot on Monday evening at the synagogue in Jerusalem's Kiryat Moshe neighborhood, which belonged to the late Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, the former Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel.

The evening began with a discussion by one of the Rabbi's sons, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu. Following the discussion, Slichot were led by the Rabbi's other son, Rabbi Yosef Eliyahu.
