The Spokesperson's Office of the Israel Defense Forces reports that an Israeli entered the Samarian city of Shechem, under Palestinian Authority (PA) control early Monday evening. The Israeli was removed by PA security, in coordination with Israel's Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria, and turned over to the Israel Police.

The spokesperson stressed that entry into Area A, such as Shechem without the advanced approval of authorities is prohibited. Entry into Area B, with less PA control, is considered dangerous and not recommended.
