Chairwoman Dalia Itzik of the Kadima Knesset faction wrote to chief rabbis Shlomo Amar and Yonah Metzger on Sunday, asking them to find a creative and unifying solution to the public disagreement about the timing of Winter/standard time and Summer/daylight-savings time.
In her letter, MK Itzik said the rabbis had the power to stop what she called the ticking of the clock of divisiveness, and asked that such a solution be reached before the start of the holidays at the end of the week.
