Turkey submitted its investigative report on Israel’s May 31st interception of a Gaza-bound flotilla to a four-member United Nations panel in New York on Thursday. Eight Turks and a Turkish-American citizen were killed after attacking Israeli commandos who boarded the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara, for which Turkey seeks an official apology and compensation for the relatives of the dead.
The panel is to examine documents from Turkey and Israel, and deliver its first progress report in mid-September, according to Turkey’s Foreign Ministry.
