Chairman Meir Indor of the Almagor umbrella group of terror-victims' associations called Thursday on the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to shorten the term of General Avi Mizrachi as commander of the IDF's Central Commander. General Mizrachi had downplayed the role of the removal of recent security roadblocks in the ability of terrorists to carry out attacks.
The reserves lieutenant colonel said, "The opening of the roadblocks and traffic arteries to free movement now allows wanted people and terrorists to move around unhindered, to make shooting ambushes easier, to escape from there by car or pull up next to Israeli vehicles, as happened this time." referring to the Tuesday and Wednesday evening attacks in Judea and Samaria which resulted in the murder of four people and the wounding of a similar number.
