MK Danny Danon (Likud) asked Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Chairman of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Tzachi Hanegbi, whether the IDF was instructed to stop scheduled security checks and remove roadblocks, as a gesture to the PA, shortly before the attack in which four Jews were murdered by Arab terrorists.

Danon also demanded the IDF's return to full security detail in Judea and Samaria and requested Hanegbi convene an urgent hearing regarding the removal of roadblocks in Yesha, this despite the summer recess.

The day before the attack, Barak told PA Chief Abu Mazen that he would reduce security measures in Yesha as a gesture to the PA, on the eve of the beginning of direct talks.
