Reports said that there were general security warnings issued Tuesday by the IDF for Judea and Samaria, and for the Hevron area in general, due to the talks in Washington and the beginning of the school year. Police increased their alert level throughout the country Tuesday night.

The IDF said it issued orders to prepare for the possibility of Arab rioting in the wake of the talks in Washington this week between Israel and the PA. IDF Chief of Staff has ordered units in Judea and Samaria to increase their vigilance over the possibility that terror groups will step up attacks on Israelis in order to interfere with the talks. Troops were also ordered to increase patrols in the area of checkpoints, and to avoid confrontations with Arabs where possible.
