Minister of Pensioner Affairs, Leah Ness, said her office would boycott artists who have signed petitions declaring that they would boycott performances in the new Ariel Arts Center and other places in Judea and Samaria. Over the past two years, the Ministry has been sponsoring regular programs for pensioners, enabling them to attend special theatrical and music performances, at the Ministry's expense.

Ness said that the performances were now closed to artists who are in turn boycotting other Israelis. “We will act to prevent these artists from appearing before elderly Israelis anywhere in the country,” she said, adding that she planned to visit the Ariel center herself on Thursday.
