Transport Minister Yisrael Katz and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat took a three kilometer trial run on the Jerusalem Light Rail system Monday morning.
Minister Katz said that, "Jerusalemites have suffered for many years [during the construction], but now there is light at the end of the tunnel." He added that the train is part of an overall strengthening of the city.
Mayor Nir Barkat said that "the city has suffered greatly, but the train building process has been sped up and it will greatly streamline management of the city."
