Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Chief-of-Staff Gabi Ashkenazi of the Israel Defense forces are scheduled to testify between Monday and Wednesday before the Tuerkel Commission on Israel's interception of a Gaza-bound flotilla on May 31st. Netanyahu is the first of the three scheduled to testify.
According to a news release by the commission, testimony will be heard according to regular court procedures, i.e. with open doors, but the commission is entitled to decide to hear sections of the testimony behind closed doors and decide regarding publication of these sections at a later date. It is expected that Prime Minister Netanyahu will deliver some of his testimony behind closed doors.
