Various Members of Knesset are requesting a special meeting to discuss former MK Haim Ramon's meeting with PA official Saeb Erekat. Ramon was seen talking with Erekat at the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem and was suspected to have discussed various negotiating tactics with the Israeli government.
MKs under the initiative of the Jewish Home Party have requested a special meting on the matter. MK Zevulun Orlev wrote in a letter to Knesset Speaker Reuben Rivlin, "Haim Ramon's actions may seriously undermine the government's efforts to hold direct talks and constitute a political attack".
