    Historian Doubts Demjanjuk’s Account

A US military historian testified on Wednesday in the trial of John Demjanjuk who is accused of being a guard at the Nazis' Sobibor death camp. Bruce W. Menning expressed doubt about Demjanjuk's account of his whereabouts in the last years of World War II when he told the court that Demjanjuk's claim that he went to the Austrian city of Graz late in 1944 to join a Ukrainian force was "implausible", as the group only came through the Austrian city in March 1945.
