Archaeological excavations near a non-Jewish village exposed Jewish ruins. The ruins were found in the Jezreel Valley and was never before known until this time.
According to excavation director Dr. Danny Syon, "unique artifacts we recovered from the Hellenistic and Roman period (1st century BCE - 1st century CE) include a mikvah (ritual bath), rock-hewn and plastered, preserved almost in its entirety."
