Responding to reports that U.S. President Barack H. Obama had promised the Palestinian Authority that Israel would make concessions on land and water if the PA entered into direct talks, MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) said that Obama had no right to promise any withdrawals in the name of the Israeli government. “He does not have the authority to determine which lands are 'Arab' and which ones are 'theirs,'” Eldad said.
