There is deep concern for the fate of Penina Eyal, a 63-year-old Israeli who was last seen in the Brazilian city of Manaus on July 12th or 13th. Eyal was in South America on one of many trips to get alternative treatments for an undisclosed illness when apparently something went wrong. She left the St. George Hotel in Iguazu on July 8th and has not been heard from since.
Relatives say that due to a bureaucratic misunderstanding, she did not have enough insurance for this trip and the search for her will be called off if sufficient funds are not raised. Contributions can be sent to the Eyal Organization, Account 398888 at the Israel Discount Bank. They should include a note that the donations are for locating Penina Eyal.
