Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu welcomed Thursday's decision by the Arab league to endorse direct talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Netanyahu said he was ready to start direct and open negotiations in a few days. He added, "With direct negotiations, it will be possible to reach a piece agreement between the two peoples quickly."
