The Treasury said Wednesday that it would increase the tax on bio-diesel fuels by NIS 2.5 beginning October 3. The state expects to net NIS 200 million from the new tax. Officials said that the increase in use of bio-diesels, and a corresponding reduction in use of gasoline, had hurt the state's finances.
