Lindenstrauss Voted Onto International Panel
State Comptroller and Ombudsman Micha Lindenstrauss was chosen unanimously as a board member of the Association of Mediterranean Basin Ombudsmen, an international group that has many Arab and Muslim countries as members. Among the countries who are members of the group are Morocco - whose ombudsman is president of the group – Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, and other Arab League members, such as the PA, as well as countries in the EU, including Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France. A majority of members also voted down a proposal by Turkey to condemn Israel, and in the end, the Turkish representative also voted to include Lindenstrauss on the board.
