The Russian Foreign Ministry attacked Iran Monday for its criticism of President Dmitry Medvedev, calling it unacceptable and "irresponsible and useless rhetoric".
Medvedev warned about two weeks ago that the Islamic Republic was getting closer to developing a nuclear weapon. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad responded by saying Medvedev's declaration was playing into the hands of American propaganda.
