Arutz Sheva has learned that Shabak Israel Security Agency investigators used computers to interrogate David Sitbon on Shabbat between the hours of 10:00 in the morning and 10:00 in the evening while the prisoner's hands were bound behind his back, against regulations. Sitbon is suspected of stealing weapons and giving them to Chaim Perlman, who is accused of killing Arabs in 1998 and faces additional charges of attempted murder.

The agency sought to have Sitbon's remand extended by eight days, but it was only extended until Thursday. His defense attorney claims the offense falls under the statute of limitations, and an appeal is scheduled to be submitted Sunday evening on the court's decision to rule on the claim later. On Friday, Sitbon and Perlman were allowed to meet with counsel for the first time since their arrest after much foot-dragging by the Shabak. The Prisons Service denied any abuse or violation of regulations, and called the claims slanderous.
