Israel’s High Court rejected an appeal by Raed Salah, leader of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement. Salah had appealed a district court’s decision to sentence him to five months in prison for attacking a police officer.

In his decision, Justice Edmond Levy said that Salah led an unauthorized rally which was an attempt to incite hatred and tension.
