Tefillin Left Unscratched From Burned Building

The owner of the furniture factory that was destroyed in a fire says his tefillin were left complete unscathed. A major fire destroyed his factory in Kiriyat Ata. Firefighter Naftali Rothenberg said there were no injuries. Although the building was destroyed, the owner said he found his tefillin inside without a scratch.

Often translated as phylacteries, tefillin are small boxes with leather straps that religious Jewish men wear on their arm and head during morning prayers.
