Through negotiations, Israel has prevented a ship from sailing into Gaza. The ship originated from Libya and contained supplies intended for Hamas controlled Gaza. The project was organized by the son of Libyan leader Moamar Kadhafi. It is reportedly sailing to Egypt instead under a Moldavian flag.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry released a statement which read: "Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman spoke several times in recent days with the foreign ministers of Greece and Moldova and reached understandings with them about dealing with the Libyan ship. The foreign ministry believes that due to these talks, the ship will not reach Gaza."
