Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in an interview Wednesday morning that Prime Minister Netanyahu's meeting with U.S. President Obama is the beginning of a “significant step” even if there are still difficulties and disputes ahead. He also said there were more things discussed than those published. Minister Barak said a new optimism has appeared, and expressed the hope that the PA will meet the challenge.
"As soon as there are direct talks on all issues, all the obstacles will take on different proportions,”
he added.
