The Knesset Economics Committee has approved standards for requiring retailers to refund payment for purchases, as opposed to the more common practice of giving customers who return an item a store credit. Orit Noked, Deputy Minister in charge of consumer issues, called the standards “a historic achievement that changes the rules of the game for consumers in Israel.”
