The Honenu legal rights organization reported Tuesday that Yassam special police forces arrested eight Jerusalem youths for no reason Monday evening, following a gathering at the Chabad synagogue in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood regarding maintaining the neighborhood's Jewish nature.

About 60 activists from Pisgat Ze'ev and the rest of the country attended the meeting, including Rabbi Yitzchak Shapira of the Od Yosef Chai yeshiva in the Samarian community of Yitzhar. When the rabbi left, his car was followed, stopped and searched. The identity cards of the occupants were held for a while before they were freed. The rabbi of the synagogue was also detained, according to the Honenu website.
