The Italian foreign ministry said Monday that Foreign Minister Franco Frattini will be joined by the foreign ministers of France, Germany, Britain and Spain in a visit to Gaza, following Israel's ease of the blockade imposed on the Hamas-controlled area.
The five ministers sent a joint letter to Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman, accepting his invitation to visit Gaza to view the humanitarian situation up close, which was issued amidst the uproar over Israel's interception of a Turkish ship trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza.
