Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to make a declaration to the media Thursday evening that he won't make just any deal to release Arab security prisoners in exchange for abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, according to a Thursday report by Israel Defense Forces Radio. He will say that Israel must be assured that any prisoners who are released will not return to terror.
The announcement is scheduled at the end of the fifth day of a march by Shalit's family from its western Galilee home to the Prime Minister's residence in Jerusalem. An estimated 1,500 people accompanied the Shalits from Kibbutz Ma'agan Michael en route to the north-central city of Hadera.
