An immigration judge in San Diego ruled that the United States should not deport the son of senior Hamas leader Hassan Yusef, but rather should grant him political asylum after he spied for Israel.
Musabeh Hassan Yusef, 32, was asked to leave the U.S. after arriving in February 2009 and declared a terrorist threat. However after a 15 minute hearing it was decided to allow Yusef to stay. Yusef spied for Israel for over a decade and recently published a book of his exploits entitled Son of Hamas.
