The Knesset Committee on Child Welfare will hold a hearing on Tuesday on the employment of Bedouin children by members of their families. Interviewed on Arutz Sheva's Hebrew journal, Committee Chairman Danny Danon said Monday, "These children are held under conditions close to slavery." He added that children are taken to work in the fields at the age of seven or eight and that often their fathers are involved.

He added that the phenomenon must be condemned and the question must be asked, where are enforcement personnel? Danon said that those who know why the children are not at school have disappeared.
