Court: Emanuel Parents Expected at Prison by Noon
The High Court has given parents in Emanuel until noon Thursday to show up at the central Jerusalem lockup in the Russian Compound. The parents are to be jailed for two weeks, the court ordered, over their refusal to agree to send their daughters to the Beit Yaakov school in Emanuel. The court said it was willing to allow husbands and wives to take turns carrying out their sentences, since they needed to take care of small children, in many cases.
