Grocery retailer Rami Levi said Sunday that his Shivuk Hashikma chain will close out its stock of Turkish merchandise and replace it with goods from other countries that are not hostile to Israel. Levi, who has built a chain of 16 stores based on low prices, said, "Their prices are indeed lower, but this is not a question of money. The public understands this and will pay a few agorot more."
He added, "When I see Turkey's behavior toward Israel, it creates an 'anti' feeling in me. I want to pay them back for what they do to us. It's a matter of principle. I'm not seeking publicity."
