Pro-Arab Turkish computer hackers hit dozens of Israeli internet sites Thursday evening, including Microsoft and its MSN and Hotmail services. Surfers reaching those sites found a mostly-black screen with a political message and the picture of a child draped in a Palestinian Authority flag.

It was reported Thursday by IBM internet security experts that the attackers have been able to break into 500 sites and plant information or make other changes. Attacks from Turkish sources are up 2,000 percent since Israel's interception of a Turkish ship trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza.
