Firefighters were sent to the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv Thursday evening, after a smoke grenade was thrown during a demonstration by an estimated 200 people against Turkish involvement in the flotilla that is trying to break the naval blockade on Gaza.
Many of the participants waived Israeli flags. Some held signs calling Turkey a country of terrorists and its leader, Tayyip Recep Erdogan "Hitler". One sign said, "We are all part of Squadron 13" which intercepted the flotilla on Monday.
