Gush Katif Square was dedicated in the city of Ashkelon on Thursday. The square is located in the heart of the "Golf" neighborhood, populated by Jews who were forcibly removed from Gaza by the government in 2005.
A number of the streets in the neighborhood were already named for the individual communities uprooted under then prime minister Ariel Sharon's Disengagement program.
