Following the demonstration by Hebrew University professors and students against the Jewish presence in the Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood, MK Othniel Schneller (Kadima) said, "I wish that professors and other academic staff would respect the unwritten law of refraining from taking an active part in political activities in the classroom and during their lectures."
"I am aware that as a result, many students are afraid to express their real opinions, for fear it will hurt their grades,” he added.
