Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah threatened to attack Israeli ships if they came close to the Lebanese coast. In a speech marking the tenth anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon, Nasrallah said that “if Israel tries to put a blockade on Lebanon to prevent delivery of weapons, “we will attack all ships coming to Israel.”
Nasrallah made the speech from a secret hiding place, as is his custom, fearing he will be assassinated by Israel.
