Al Jazeera Banned in Bahrain

Bahrain has banned pan-Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera from broadcasting from its territory. The ban was issued, the government said, due to “violations of professional standards.” Al-Jazeera is also banned in Tunisia, Algeria, and Iraq. The station has a full-time office in Israel.
