Honest Reporting Canada says it had to respond recently when people suggested scrapping a stamp minted by Canada Post to commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations between Canada and Israel.

Two of the letters, written to a general-circulation newspaper, contained a number of unsubstantiated human-rights charges against the Jewish state. A letter written to a philatelic publication suggested that politics - and not postage-stamp considerations - was behind the issuing of the stamp.
