A death threat was among the comments on the Strictly Right blog, which promoted the Ontario appearances of Egyptian-born British-Jewish scholar Gisèle Littman, née Orebi, who has written a number of books and articles about Islam and its treatment of non-Muslims under the name Bat Yeor (Daughter of the Nile). Bat Yeor's family was forced to flee Egypt in 1957, following Israel's Sinai campaign of 1956.
Writing in comments on the speaking tour, someone calling himself "ahmed" said, "she is disgusting horrible woman. she turned against Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Allah with her lies. she is deserving of the wrath of Allah to kill her."
