Posters seen in the Palestinian Authority over the past several days implore U.S. President Barack Obama to “save us, free us from the slavery, the occupation, and the settlements.” The posters were put up by local radio stations, which also asked listeners to contact Obama any way they could. “We must take advantage of technology to spread the word about our suffering,” said the head of one of the radio stations. PA news agencies said that PA Arabs were sending thousands of e-mail messages a day to Obama, all with the same message: “The Israeli occupation is the longest one in history. Only free people can free us from our slavery. History will judge them as heroes,” the messages read.
