Chairman Shevach Stern of the Judea and Samaria region of the Likud party called on Sunday for removal of supporters of the Geneva Initiative who have infiltrated Likud branches around the country. Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service in response to announcements calling on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to continue negotiations with the Palestinian Authority on borders for a proposed PA state, Stern called the branch leaders who signed the ads "opportunists", adding that the time had come to replace them.

Stern expressed hope that Netanyahu would stand up to the pressures facing him, noting "sometimes he takes a stance of weakness, and takes stances like the freeze," on Jewish building in Judea and Samaria. He added that the prime minister needed support and was getting it through his ministers and the Land of Israel lobby in the Knesset.
