Jordan is preventing leaders of the northern branch of the Israel Muslim Movement from entering the kingdom. The latest is Sheikh Ahmad Abu-Ajwah, the head of the movement in Yafo (Jaffa), who was rebuffed at the Sheikh Hussein Bridge on Thursday, according to the Palestinian Authority's Wafa news agency.
After routinely passing the Israeli side of the bridge, the sheikh said he was detained by Jordanian officials for more than five hours before he was told that he was not allowed to enter but no reason was given. Before he was told to return to the Israeli side, he was taken to an office with innovative cameras and other technology, his eyes were photographed and fingerprints were taken.
