Beginning Wednesday, cars can be imported into Israel by alternative companies, not just the official importer. The change comes as a result of a recent change in the importation laws by Transport Minister Yisrael Katz. According to estimates, the new law will help lower prices, saving the public some NIS 500 million to NIS 1.2 billion on the cost of cars each year.
