The military is preparing for implementation of a recent Supreme Court decision to allow Palestinian Authority traffic on Route 443, which connects Jerusalem to the Modi'in area, halfway to Tel Aviv.

As part of the opening effort, the Israel Defense Forces is allowing access to the highway via entrances and exits in the Beit Sira and Beit-Ur Al-Fuka areas, west of Ramallah, subject to security checks. Additional exits will be open at the Ramallah-area villages of Chirbat Al-Matzcha and At-Tirah. Another security checkpoint will be erected at the Junction for "Camp Ofer" to allow for security checks for everyone.
