Channel 10 news anchor Yakov Eilon was interviewed on the Haredi-religious radio station "Kol Berama" Monday afternoon. In the interview he claimed that the racist comment he made on air was a mistake and that it "has never occurred to him talk like that on TV." Eilon said that he intended to say something else and made an error.
On Sunday night, following a studio discussion on Haredi-religious opposition to the building of a hospital ward on ancient graves, Eilon introduced the next story by saying "and from Haredim we will now move on to human beings" (mi haredim naavor le ananashim). Eilon said he meant to say "and from graves we will now move on to human beings" (mi kevarim naavor le ananashim).
