PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and special American envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell are scheduled to meet Monday in Amman.
The two will discuss efforts to resume negotiations between Israel and the PA. Abbas is expected to ask Mitchell to stop Israeli construction in Judea and Samaria according to a recent demand by the Quartet.
