The cabinet on Sunday approved a nine-million-shekel budget to plan and build public facilities in the eastern part of the Lachish region. The money is in addition to the funding approved when the Netanyahu government came into office.

The funding is for day care centers, synagogues, ritual baths, clinics, sports fields, archaeological sites and green areas, among other things. They will be placed in the communities of Amatzia, Chazan, Charuv, Marsham and Shomeria, populated by Jews who were evicted by the government from Gaza and northern Samaria..
