Prime Minister Binyamin Netanayhu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak are set to leave Sunday for Washington, where they will meet with top officials. The visit is set to take place after Netanyahu forwarded a letter to the Americans that included answers to demands made by the U.S., in the wake of the recent “Biden Crisis” over construction of 1,600 homes in Ramat Shlomo.
According to reports, Netanyahu wrote that in the upcoming talks with the Palestinian Authority, Israel would discuss the “core issues” of Jerusalem and the return of descendants of Arabs who fled their homes in 1948 to Israel. Netanyahu has also agreed to a new round of “gestures” for the PA.
